Statue, Marble, Classical Lady, c. 1900

  A large 19th c. good quality hand sculpted white marble full figure of a classic revival nymph. This example has a weathered surface as it has been in several gardens as a fine focal point. With the usual repairs as found with a piece of this age including some work to the rear. The naturalistic robes and detail are well executed. A great Garden item. (#1826)

Andirons, Brass & Iron, Steeple Top, American, c1790-1810

  To a fine pair of American steeple topped neoclassic fireplace andirons. The spire is octagonal above a ball center having a medial rib. This is footed on an octagonal base on cabriole legs having spurs and ball feet. The log stops are also in the form of the andirons. Behind which are adjustable log stops. Brass polished and lacquerd (#1831)

Andirons, Brass & Iron, Ball "Fernald Founder Boston 1825-42

  To a fine and rare pair of Boston Andirons signed by the maker. Having ball tops with medial rib. Below is a finely turned balluster mounted on heavy cast cabriole legs having spurs and hoof feet. The andirons retain the original brass log stops and iron billets. Brass hand polished and lacquerd. Another signed pair by the maker is in the collection of Old Sturbridge Village. (#1857)

  To fine pair of English or American fireplace andirons. The uprights are mounted with turned members footed on cabriole legs with spurs ending in snake feet. Behind the uprights are log stops and a brass lining. Signed by the maker or retailer. With repairs and some restoration. Brass has been polished and lacquered. (#1861)

  To a good pair of English or American Early 19th century fireplace andirons. The central column is moulded and topped with a ball having a belt course of rich dicing, under two turned brass finials. The legs are brass with ball feet and the andirons retain their original iron billets. Brass has been polished and lacquered. (#1862)

  An American circa 1860-1890 cast iron aquarium. These aquariums wer used indoors as well as outside and make an unusual and beautiful display. These were advertised and shown in the J.W. Fiske catalog. This aquarium has been restored and is ususable. The bottom plinth is a later addition. Note: this aquarium was formerly in the collection at The Armour-Stiner House Irvington, New York. A great Cast Iron Garden item. (#1880)

  These urns have a detailed lip with frogs and leaves. 3 cranes or egrets below and a hexagonal bottom base. "Patented April 11th 1871" Thiese large urns are a rare survival due to their pattern making and size. Some repairs as found in an outdoor item of this age. One base is 3 inches lower. Transom, 3 Piece eliptical w/ 2 side lights English lead

  To a fine and rare English 3 piece entry door surround c.1790 made of Deal lead and tin and glass. The is in the neoclassic manner is one of the largest that we have had. No doubt with a double door below. The lead paterae is finely cast over very sharp models. The set has some repairs including some glass panels which are of the period but not original to the set. All in all and important statement. Transom 107" wide x 29" tall Sidelights 57 1/2" tall x 16" wide (#1894)

Andirons, Brass & Iron, Steeple Top, American, c.1790

  To a good pair of brass and iron American made andirons. The neoclassic design having a steeple at the top above the rounded ball is typical of this period. This pair is set apart as they retain the original brass wrapped curved galleries to the rear of the andirons. This feature makes the andirons look much wider and fills up the void hearth. The andirons retain their original footed log stops made in the same style as the front section. These were usually lost over the years and fully or partially replaced, however these appear to be the originals, a rare survival. The andirons have been hand cleaned, polished and lacquered to protect the brass surface. (#1903)

Andirons, Brass & Iron, Knife Blade, Marked IC, c.1790

  18th Century wrought iron and brass pair of andirons. This fine pair of New York andirons are initialed by the maker "I C" for John Conklin. The retain the orginal brass urn shapped finials and front sheilds as well as the original wrought iron penny feet. The design is typical of the Hudson Valley Dutch style. The brass has been hand cleaned, poilished and laquered. (#1904)
