  To an interesting 19th century overdoor transom retangular in form. The exterior with rich handcarved leaf device and old surface. The glass has been replaced. This transom is reported to have been removed from an antebellum home in the South. (#0699)

Pediment, Carved,Triangular /w Birds, 19th Century

  To a highly carved late 19th century triangular pedament with weathered surface. This architectural element has been hand scraped to reveal the original tool marks of the artist. It originally was a timpanum ornament from a house in Alabama. It is unusual to see animal motifs in domestic artchitecture in the late 19th c. These make wonderful wall dcor. (#0718)

Stool, Carved Walnut, English George I, c.1730-1740

  To a fine and rare English Queen Ann or George I. Walnut stool with rich surface and patina. This example is carved with the acanthus leaves to the knees. Also with "C" scrolls and piped cabriole legs ending in pad feet. The stool has a removable slip seat which is covered in a rich, modern damask and has been reinforced with modern blocks under the seat. As with good English examples, which were subject to woodwork, this particular example has minor repairs and restorations. (#0740)

Table, Tilt Top, Walnut, Delaware Valley, c.1760-1780

  To a fine quality Delware Valley walnut tilt top tea table. The top is constructed of two highly figured boards joined together. Below is a bird cage support with replaced pivot ring. The pedestol base has the suppressed ball turning as found in the Philadelphia area. The cabriole legs end in plain feet with supporting pad carved from the solid. A rare table with small repairs and a new brass catch. (#0753)

  To a carved pine victorian triangular pediment of the circa 1880 period. Carved and decocated with applied fillagree detail. Transom, 1/2 round,1426 Spruce, American,19th Century

  To a Fine quality American period c.1810-1830 half round over door transom. This transom is constructed of pine and ash with applied lead paterea. The window glass is period. The window was removed from a residence located at 1426 Spruce Street, Philadelphia. This was the home of the famous American architect John Notman. Height: 2' 3 1/2" Width: 4' 6 1/2" (#0806)

  To a good quality English tilt top breakfast table of the c.1810 period. The moulded tripod base is topped with a pedestal with beehive turnings. The mahogany top is cross banded with various woods including rosewood. With repairs to two feet. The moulded legs end in old castors and wheels. The top tilts for storage in the breakfast room and this example is very useful as a table or desk. (#0940)

  To a circa 1770-1800 bell metal (brass) English fireplace fender. The fender has been hand rolled and pierced in the neoclassic manner. There fender has a small repair and has the original iron pan. It has been hand polished and treated with lacquer, which can be easily removed. (#0997)

Transom, Eliptical, Wood & Lead, New England c.1790

  A fine and rare Overdoor New England Transom of the c. 1790 period. This example retains most of the original cast lead neoclassic ornament. The apex is mounted with a star flower with veined petals, above are daisy swags connected by strawberry leaves. The spokes or rays are mounted with acanthus and Athenian leaves. It is most rare to see transoms with this amount of decoration. The piece was removed from a residence in Providence, Rhode Island. It has been hand cleaned of all old paint buildup, replacement lead work applied and the piece retains most of the original glass with some additions of period replacement glass. Silicone has been used to replace the original white lead. (#1041)
