To a rare set of andirons with matching tools, having turned brass balusters on cabriole spurred legs ending in ball feet. The andirons retain the original wrought iron billets. The two tools comprise: a shovel and tongs in original condition, both constructed of wrought iron with brass finials. Note: the brass has been hand polished and treated with conservation lacquer which can be easily removed. The tool height is 31 inches. |
