To a single cast bronze girandole candlestick of American origin c.1840-1860. Known as the spirit of '76. This single pedestal model retains the highlight original gold plating. It is mounted with snowflake period prisms. A similar style example can be seen in plate #278 in "19th Century Lighting" by H. Parrott Bacott. |
