A brass, pierced, 18th C. Irish fireplace fender with twisted rope motif to top-bottom and front pilasters. The fender shows evidences of hand-engraving which are now worn. The fender has been hand polished and lacquered and has small breaks to top and bottom rope motif. Due to the construction and decoration, we believe that this fender is of Irish origin. |
